Targa roof rubber replacement

Looking to replace the rubber top seal on my ‘84 Targa that goes between the rear section of the roof and the bar. Prices between 3 vendors are significant, URO ~$189, OEM ~$310 and Porsche ~$530. I saw that UFO had poor reviews but nothing on the others and want to fix it right. Does anyone have experience using any of these products?

When I changed out the rear seal on my 90 Targa all the research I did pointed to the Porsche seal, all the others had fitment issues and or caused leaks after the fact.

As its a once every 30 year replacement I’d say go with the Porsche part so you don’t have to think about it again.

I went with the OEM part. Other than the install bring fiddly and I needed to add a short tube to connect the seal to the door seal (to direct the flow), it went well and I have no water intrusion into the car compartment.

Sadly, the video I found back then that showed the install (narrated in German) is no longer available.

The factory training manuals on the targa top were helpful.
