84 Targa ROW Fog Light Question
 

I purchased my first porsche (84 Targa ROW) a month or so ago and the high beams didn't work. Checked our sponsors bbs and found good answers. Ended up replacing the turn signal switch (from our sponsor) and now the high/low and turn signals work fine. Here's my question. when I turn on the headlights-ingition off-I get fog lights (normal I believe), I turn on ignition I get head lights (normal I believe). Here's the confusion, to get fog only I have to turn on headlights, turn on fog light switch and then I turn off the head lights and the fogs stay on, this is the only way the fogs will come on independently. They won't come on by just turning on the fog light switch. Is this normal/correct? Doesn't really bother me, but I'm curious if I have a bad fog light relay or something else.
