Seat BACK Interchangeable?
After searching the threads, came up small. Does anyone know if the seat backs ONLY from an 87-89 car are interchangeable L and R? Obviously the driver's side takes more punishment, and accordingly, the passenger side seats are more commonly available in good shape. The only real wear on mine is the piping, and I cannot see a viable repair that won't draw your eyes to it...
Thanks

yes - interchangeable
the downside is that the release will be on the inside - minor inconvenience.

Aren’t there releases on both sides of the seat back, like the seats in 964’s?

. I was under the impression that all air-cooled, up to '89, had only an outside release.

Yes there are releases on both sides so the either passenger can tilt the other seat to let someone very small into the back. Good to know they are interchangeable! Search is on for a late 80s seat in Silver Gray.
THANKS!
