Fuchs Wheel Question

I have a Fuchs wheel for sale that someone is asking me about. His question concerns the offset. The wheel is a 8jx16. How do I determine the offset?

You can get a good estimation of the wheel offset by first measuring the wheel width (inside rim to inside rim), then lay a
straight edge across the inside rim and measure to the flat surface that mates with the hub. Subtract half the rim width from the measurement and that will be very close to the offset. For example, if this is an 8" wheel and the measurement from the back rim to the center flat surface is about 5 inches, subtract
1/2 *8 =4 from the 5" measurement. 5"-4"=1" which equals
25.4 mm. Allowing for measuring from the outside of the rim, then the offset will be about 25mm.
