Front end redo, Cerakote and Yellow Clad

Every winter I do something on my car. This season it’s the front end.

Years of road use, it was time to change out all the rubber, blast everything, re cerakote, and then the issue bolts came up. Buying the exact bolts is a pain in the A$$, plus I like to restore vs repair. So I learned to yellow plate. It’s pretty easy as long as you have all the right equipment and Prep Prep Prep. Iron oxcide blasting for Cerakote and glass beed for the bolts. After all that work, they are getting a clear coat of cerakote to stay forever shiny.

The pic with the roll bar you can see the air dry (more heat resistance) vs the Oven dry ( Insane scratch and durability) but only good on cooler applications. You ad a catalyst to the air dry to make it oven dry..

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
The yellow coating is particularly interesting as yellow zinc counting is being fazed out here in Canada.
