Cams for carbs 1980 sc

Good afternoon everyone I have a 1980 sc with 40 mm PMO carbs MSD ignition SSI exhaust and recurved distributor. I would like to install a more aggressive cams ,lift, duration, overlap ect. Should I plan on new valve springs and pistons for clearance on valves. I DE the car 3 to 4 times a year and a few autocross but it is not a dedicated track car I still use it for cars and coffee and spirited driving
session's on back roads on Saturday morning's. Looking for cam profiles that that hit the sweet spot
still drivable but fairly aggressive.
PS heads were refreshed 1500 miles ago. Thanks

Are the pistons cis? you can keep them if you go with the Knight Race M1 cams
They will make up to 235 hp with the stock stuff and small ports .
After that change the pistons and choose what you want 250 - 290 hp at 9.8 to 1 comp ratio
and maybe porting

If I did go with new pistons with cut outs for valve clearance do you have a recommendation for cams and should I increase compression to 10-1 or m I asking for trouble with bottom end.

20/21 Webcams work great with CIS pistons.
