Joe, I am currently using a Perfect Tuning gauge in the dash mounted in the clock hole. It is an upgrade from my earlier units. Here is an example of one I built for a clock years ago. Should be easy to find a display that fits the referenced location. I was running a serial output. There have been some questions related to tuning ITBs. I admit that I glossed over the Megasquirt ITB Mode above in the description. I am currently tuning a car with ITBs and was going through this process. There is a good technique using Megalog viewer to filter out data. I have used this technique for about 10 years and I just happened to find a great YouTube video that describes it much better than I can type.
I will say that this does vary depending on cam specs, ITB size, and overall engine configuration. However, the process is basically the same. I am adding this here as a reference. I would prefer a CANBUS connection as I already have an output run from my Motec, but an alternative might be to just tap into the O2 sensors in parallel with their connection to the Motec...I assume they just sense voltage so ought to be able to feed both the Zada and then Motec without issue. May have to research that point for a bit. Thanks so much, D. |

Not downplaying the efforts of that display, its very nicely done! But a lot of these ECMs have a CANBus network that sends all sensor data and calculated outputs thru a couple of wires. A steep learning curve but find a display or gauge that works with your ecm's CANBus and you can keep tabs on every single little thing your car is doing.
