Interior removal

I'm going to install a roll bar sooner or later that i have sitting in my garage. My question pertains to that fibery crap that's left behind when i removed my interior pieces. I can't get it out without razoring but i want to stay away from that so i don't cut into the zinc coating on the chassis. So what are my options, is there a popular chemical for getting simple adhesive crap like that out without exposing the chassis? Oh, and then when i do clean up the chassis, what perameters or precautions should i use for welding it in?

The nasty fuzz stuff I just left. Reason? I put an RS carpet kit over it, and removing the fuzz would have been a wasted effort for what I was doing.

As for "welding it in," do you mean the rollbar? I just had my rollbar welded in. It's an Autopower, and usually bolts to the floor, but we welded extensions from the floor mounts to the rails. I haven't seen the finished product, but when I do, I'll msg. you with how it was done. FWIW, the process didn't sound too complicated. Wanna' make sure all your carpeting's out, though. You could set your interior on fire...

Well i have the interior fully stripped except the top. But the fuzzy crap is agrivating to look at, damn desert sun. Anyhow, i don't know how the auto power one is installed, but mine's from safety devices. It uses these mounting shoe looking things that the roll bar ends bolt to. But those shoes get welded to the frame.

I haven't tried it, but everyone told me to use 3m adhesive remover when I asked this question.

I thought the Safety Devices also bolts in, but to the sills, which is why it's a preferred bar.

Not the one i have, it's got shoes that must be welded in, then the bar gets bolted to those shoes. Thanx for the info masraum, is that something you can pick up at like autozone or something?

3m Adhesive remover, try autozone, Home Depot, Walmart, that sort of thing. I know Most autoparts places have the 3m products, adhesives, gasket stuff, etc...
