Momo Adapters - The Long & Short of it...

I finally got my hands on a Momo "Short" adapter and it definitely helped with my wheel. Still not ideal, but I think it will work.

Just for future reference, I took some measurements and will share them here.

MO-L231 Long Adapter - ~109mm Tall
MO-C231 Short Adapter - ~92mm Tall
Difference is approximately 17mm.

For comparison, a Prototipo wheel has about 37mm dish, while my Model 08 has 85mm dish. So even with the "Short" adapter, the wheel is about 32mm closer to the driver than a normal Prototipo/Long setup.

If I had it to do over again, I'd probably have ordered a Model 07 with 70mm of dish, but I really liked the look of the rectangular cutouts on the Model 08.

I agree, good info for future reference.

The model 8 does look better than the model 7 to me.
Still not a fan of the yellow marker on top. For a track car It suppose it can be useful.
For a street car, not my cup of tea.
Do you have any pictures of the wheel in your car?
How is the distance to the indicator and wiper stalks?

Will you be using a quick release?
I have the short momo hub and Prototipo with a tekniq (sp?) quickrelease.
Ideal combo for me.

Not a very good pic, but here it is in the car. (Taken before I got the short adapter installed)

I ordered thru the Momo custom program so I got everything black. Didn’t want the white logo or the yellow bar.

FWIW, you can create any color combo...just wish you could customize the amount of dish and overall diameter.
