autox video - June 8th

Here is a nice in-car and trackside video (1st practice lap) from todays Autocross at Bitburg AB, Germany. I had a great time and was able to run 6 sec quicker by the 2nd & 3rd timed runs...the car did great, just need better/wider tires!

The video is 4.7 MB and is WMV format, enjoy!
Bitburg II

hmmm...it is on my website, link on the autocross page.

Did you Right Click, and select "Save target as" to save the video on your computer? That may be the problem.

Thanks for the coments...it is quite a job keeping her under control, if I push her too hard she reaches out and bites me real quick!

Nice sound

I can't remember? Do you have SC/Carrera flares or is your 911 an early one? With 250 or more horsies you need a pair of 9x16 Fuchs for the rear.

Thanks Mikkel...she is a narrow arzz 911S (1975)...no flares at all, so this week I am going to try and stuff some 16"x7" and 16"x8" cups under her. That 3.6 puts out way too much torque for them skinny wheels.

Porsche Crest Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!

I am so jealous! You look great out there, and yeah the car sounds so nice. That exhaust is too sweet!
I assume that is the same track and event that you did last time out? How did you run compared to that last time?
Seeing as how I can't run for a while, I am very glad you and some other guys have been posting your runs on the board, thanks!
Your car must be a dream to drive now, although it was nice before, as I can attest. (Thanks again.)
You and the wife are selling the 944?

yep...I don't care either way with the 944, it's her car and she doesn't drive it very often. The location for the autocross was the same, but the course was quite a bit different. I did pretty well...but was not quite fast enough to place top 3 or 4 for that matter. Great fun as always and can't wait for next months event.
