Machinists east coast
Does anyone know a Porsche machinist on the east coast capable of surface grinding mag cases and boring the mains to Standard? Ollie’s is fine but 2-3 month wait time. Plus 2 weeks back and forth from the east coast.

Performance Auto Works. Kearneysville WV. Billy is 5 miles from summit point racetrack and does a lot of work for the racers. We’ve used him for years.

Thanks for the comeback guys.
Do you know if either of these shop can do the surface grinding and align boring the case? I ask because I have contacted several quality shops that have turned cranks, valve jobs, but “no we don’t do that type of work”, has been the response. |

I used the services of Ollies last year and was in no hurry. They did a great job and will use them again.

Yes, I have used them for 40 years. The wait for this work is 3-4 months. When you do 8-10 mag case engines a year, that doesn’t work.

Nick Guarriello is NJ does case resurfacing. A number of Pcar shops in the NY metro area use his services. Wait time might be similar to Ollie’s.
Edit - not east coast , but Competition Engineering did this on a case for me years ago, may be worth checking with them. |
