Wiper Motor Hanger Mount
Hi All
Does anyone have any advice to help me determine if this wiper motor mount is still useful/useable. It is "rock-hard" - no flexibility whatsoever. I am assuming the mount is for some form of vibration/noise isolation & if so - it appears to me it may need to be replaced. It is from a 1970T - if that helps. ![]() Also, is there any remedial action that may be taken to re-hab this mount for re-use & installation? Thanks & Cheers JB

I believe the dash cover needs to be removed to install the strap.

I just put mine in, the dash needs to be off to put in the top mount and while it is hard to gauge how hard yours is, mine is quite rigid....you can bend it, but it takes a little effort.
I would say if it can bend (say +/- 30 degrees) without making cracking noises or even cracking then you are good to go. That motor does need some strength to keep it in place as it torques the wipers, particularly when they are stalled for some reason. D. |
