Backdated 964 Speedster

Perhaps this is taking things a little too far...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads/IMGP0029.jpg

Hahahaha..Hmm...I'm not sure about that one. It doesn't look bad from this angle, but it might spook small children. A ducktail on a 964 is one thing, but this...

masraum 06-05-2003 07:59 AM

I like it!!

smoak 06-05-2003 08:00 AM

I like it too. Retro cool IMO.

k9handler 06-05-2003 08:37 AM

Very cool....even better considering I know who owns that beauty!

k9handler 06-05-2003 08:55 AM

Different plate?

I am sure it's the same car!

There is more then meets the eye going on here. Look at the drivers side exhaust pipe, thats not stock on a 94 speedie.

Speedster94 06-05-2003 10:31 AM

It might spook small children but as well Big Boys all the way up to
964 Turbos and 993s of any Kind . look closer and you see the exhaust Tip on Both sides and the Carbon Fibre Hump . What you cant see is the G50/21 6 Speed, the 3.8 993 Engine ,the Delete of the Top/ Powersteering/AC etc. bringinging the weight down to 1150 KG and the HP up to 305 . here are some Numbers ,0-65 in less than 5 , V-max +185 MPH .
That is what makes 84 Carrera Drivers not dreaming but crying .

k9handler 06-05-2003 10:39 AM

Ha Ha...yeah Harald, I still need to go for a spin with you in that one!

maxnine11 06-05-2003 10:40 AM

is that your car Harald?? i'm wondering about rear lift at those HIGH speeds without the pop-up rear spoiler. ( i like the 5series touring in the background too!) max

When they solve the cowl and body flex call me. I used to own one with the standard motor. Shake, rattle and roll. Its a great looking car though. It always made me grin from any angle. I bought it in feb of 1996 and while i was looking i found 2 that were still on dealers lots unsold from 1994. I see they've actually held value quite well these days.

911boost 06-05-2003 12:10 PM

nice, good name.

Didn't miss a show in DC from 90 on...ofcourse I may be younger than you.

Bill

trader220 06-05-2003 12:18 PM

Just a bit younger. I saw my first show in Philly in 1978. I went all the way through tilll the end logging thousands of miles and not quite 175 shows. I saw whats left as the old Spectrum in Philly this past fall and it was entertaining. ENough so, that, I'll take in the "Dead" show this month in Jersey. All that I have left from the old days is a shoe box full of stubs and a lot fewer brain cells.

911boost 06-05-2003 12:20 PM

smile, not to hijack the thread, but I sw Wier play an outdoor amphitheatre here in Northern Colorado last year. Ther were only about 300 peoplpe there and I was about 10 feet away from him, just relaxing and listening with my then pregnant wife. It was great, a far cry from RFK...

trader220 06-05-2003 12:25 PM

Lucky you.... some of the best times i ever had was seeing just Jerry play at some rinky dink little place with 300 other people just hanging out. I had a friend that ran into Bobby on vacation in Mexico once. She told me he hung out with a bunch of people she met and he played acustic and drank beer with them by a fire on the beach. Needless to say i was jealous.

Sorry to whom evers thread this was.....

Speedster94 06-05-2003 04:20 PM

hallo
Maxnine , the lift is not too bad , keep in mind on a open 911 the Wingprofile is not complete because you have no roof . It is getting light but only in very high Speeds ,above ca. 150 Mph . The Fun is gone there anyway because you think you are on a Bike without Helmet . The most Fun is on country roads with curves and up to about 120 Mph .It is my Car .
