Rasant Products still around?

I saw on their Facebook page that they shuttered, but their web page appears to be functional. It's after hours, so I can't just call and ask. Figure ya'll might know what's up.

That thread doesn't give much detail. They had an IG post that listed the remaining inventory for sale at one point.

Closed shop. Website still active though? Haven’t tried calling. I bought a full harness induction and ecu from Andrew. It was ok. But after sale support communication and delivery commitments were poor. My shop ended up redoing most of the harness and replacing most of the sensors. I always felt he was more the engineer side and as the owner he was always chef cook and bottle washer. Hard gig.

Anyway… he left to become and employee… ev space, lookup linked in, faraday and now at czinger.

Maybe chasing an equity move and some real $

Anyone in this space knows making real money as a boutique shop or a manufacture is a tough road. I believe he did try to sell the company, that is rumor mill here in SoCal not sure if he did….

Less headaches, more money, more time with family.

That is my guess.

Anyone looking for induction and control systems for these old things…. Checkout bbi and talk to betim. They are doing some very cool stuff, I’ll use on my next 964 build.

Figured I'd give an update. I called, didn't get through. Left a message, no callback. Called several more times over the next few days, then gave up and ordered what I wanted from overseas instead.

Fret not @Tremelune! Those beautiful custom GT3 intake plenums and ITB kits are in stock!

Good Day Folks!

While searching for something unrelated, our social media director came across some recent posts on the Pelican forums, inquiring about the fate of Rasant Products. I thought that it would be appropriate then to register an account and post an update here for those who are interested.

Last year (Summer of 2023), Rasant Products was acquired by the G2 family of companies located in the PNW and the entire operation was relocated to the Seattle area. We have taken great steps in reevaluating everything in our quest to successfully relaunch the brand.

We have made many exciting changes and additions! Rasant is shipping product and there are some fun projects currently underway. I'll post details under a separate new thread soon, but feel free to check out the Rasant Products Instagram page.

Some of those company changes and innovations include;
1) All inventory, manufacturing, assembly and installation of Rasant Products performance parts relocated to Woodinville, WA.

2) All of the Rasant legacy products are now featured under a single segment of the company headlined as "Air-Cooled Products".

3) An innovative line of new Rotrex supercharger kits for 928 models, as well as "07K" 5-cylinder engine swaps for 924, 944 and 968 models were launched under a new "Transaxle" segment.

4) A combination of existing bolt-on performance products from CSF, iPD, Evolution Motorsports and many others (primarily for later Porsche models - and combined into EvoMS ECU-direct flash-tuned PowerPacks), is now featured under a new "Liquid-Cooled" segment.

5) The Design Studio - an in-house visualization and design-build initiative was recently added to the lineup of innovative Rasant Products services to aid customers in conceptualizing and communicating their design ideas and desires.

6) Significant steps are being taken to increase our own internal quality assurance and communication process; the wiring harness documentation and QC process is just one of those areas being addressed.

The Rasant Products brand relaunch and a complete revamp of the entire website to include these changes, was recently announced in a broad social media campaign and associated press-releases were issued.

The new website can be found here - www.RasantProducts.com and associated Instagram and Facebook pages are constantly updated!

The response was huge and we're still working out some kinks, so please bare with us during the transition. We will do our level best to respond to all inquiries as fast as possible.

Regards, The Rasant Products Team

Very glad they are around and have taken it to the next level. I have the Rasant EFI package that used the AEM infinity along with a custom wire harness they built as per my requirements, for the sensors I had, and am very happy with the results.

Also saw them on an episode of Wheeler Dealer!

Very good to hear....I have one of your systems based on Motec M130 and was worried about getting help when the engine finally gets put together and in the car.

Good to know you are out there to support us "legacy" customers....

@Dr J @Cloggie - thanks!

Just let us know what you need. Sam (who runs the Rasant Products brand for me), is also the owner of EvoMS - he is a master tuner and very familiar with the MoTeC product.

Years ago, Rasant moved from the AEM product to MoTeC, but we could perhaps still get some legacy support for that Infinity system. Over the past 6+ years since then, Rasant sold a-LOT of MoTeC systems however, when we acquired Rasant Products though, we did not get a very warm welcome from MoTeC! (The company was sold to Bosch in the past year or so, so there has been many changes in their dealer network.)

Upon further review, we also found that the MoTeC legacy architecture is getting a bit long in the tooth. Keep an eye on the Emtron systems - they are going to take over. The Emtron is feature-rich, with great pricing and built on a very advanced, more modern architecture. We get amazing support from Emtron as well. (Even Singer has moved on from MoTeC and is now using Emtron!)

We'll support your MoTec installations though, but will be offering Emtron engine management systems on future installations!

We fired up that 11.0:1 compression 3.8-Litre 964 "Turbo-Look" car in the pictures yesterday and started tuning it today! It sounds GLORIOUS!

At the moment I am just finishing some stuff up...but within a few months I will be getting into first start and will probably reach out to you if there are any issues.

Thanks for the positive message and I am very much looking forward to working together.

That was a fun episode to watch.

This 3.8-Litre went to the dyno on Friday. We are keeping the redline below 6800 rpm for now (until the engine is completely broken-in and then we'll raise it to 7800 rpm.)

We also held the ignition timing advance curve very conservative. The engine produced a respectable 290-horsepower at the wheels!

I'll try to post some pictures and video later.

Here's a collage of some short run clips from the 3.8 dyno-tuning sessions!

6800 rpm limit for now. Also, see dyno sheet below.
