Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coils

Is anyone running these coils? I'm updating my Clewette twin plug system with an MS3 pro and looking at replacing with the BERU COPs. Anyone know if these coils need an igniter?

Yup, drive them twin-plugged from a MoTeC M800 through a J&S Safeguard (Interceptor).

Self-igniting smart coils, according to this https://www.motec.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=531

That forum post also contains a link to the Beru glossy fachaufsatz_zsp_e.pdf discussing the joint development/testing with Porsche, design goals, wiring details etc.

Unfortunately, the link to it no longer works, and the Internet Wayback Machine doesn't seem to have crawled it when it was active either.

PM me your email and I'll send you a copy I downloaded in 2012 or so when the link did work...

I had clewette make me a coil on plug kit one of his first and he used these coils. the only problem was you need hold downs to hold them in place. the vw coils clip on the plugs no need for hold downs.
