Door Stop Repair Pt.2

Greetings! Long time since last post. Still drive the 930 regularly, probably why this problem came back. I fixed this 9-yrs ago with the Pelican repair kit and changed the door stop. Unfortunately, the new stop was very rigid, which probably served to weaken the metal even further. About 1-yr after the initial repair, I was able to modd the door stop and loosened it up a bit. This got me 8-yrs. Until last week, I heard a terrible tearing and breaking sound whilst closing the door. Removed the door panel and the repair kit, to find this:

I’ll post some other pics on a second post… Shannon

Question: Any ideas how to get this repaired?

I have a welder guy around the corner. He’s got good skills and attitude. Was going to show him next week, but wanted to see if you all had some ideas??

Thanks!! Shannon

Hi mooney. I am in New Orleans too and have the same issue. Looking forward to see what you do about it. Careful- my door over opened and then the main hinge deformed a bit “sprung”
