Does your battery indicator light come on when turning car off?

Just curious, if your battery light (in the same cluster as the oil temp/oil pressure) come on as the car is turning off.

i.e. once the ignition is switched off, as the engine is shutting down, does the light come on?

Its the Alternator light.
I’d check the output condition of the battery, connections and it’s age. Might be that it’s time to replace it if over 4 yrs. old.
With engine running use a multimeter and reading should be better or close to 14v. With engine off anything less than 12.5 would indicate the battery is not able hold a charge.
Worse case is when engine is running, the alternator andd/ot regulator is failing or combo of all three, including the battery.

If the light stays on with the key off, the alt has a bad diode or 3.

Sorry..to clarify..
I was referring to the quick second where the light comes on as the car is turning off.

Mine does this too, seems normal

Mine also flashes on as I turn off the engine, maybe less than a second. Alternator is new so I assume it is normal.
