Curious. Would love to know the relative weight of the two...and the total potential savings of deleing the rear wiper and related parts. I have always loved rear wipers (useful when you have to back out of a steep driveway in the rain), but I am pretty motivated to save weight...especially in the rear...if it is reasonable to assume the rear wiper motor is in the rear? Thanks coomo and all.

Rain X. I’ve deleted mine completely. But seriously what else have you deleted and why try and save weight there.

e voila
Polo 9N Wipermotor
Febi Bilstein 34753

Hot Rod Projekt

But be careful, this is not a 1:1 solution! It needs some modifications, but then it runs fine.

greetings from Switzerland, Leichtbauer

Yes, same here. The windshield is roughly the same angle as a motorcycle helmet and those don’t have wipers. Good thing there are not too many bugs around here….
