Is Wilwood still in business?
Thank you upfront for any replies and knowledge.
I'm very interested in putting a receiver on my 911SC, in order to mount my bike rack. Wilwood has been highly recommended. I've emailed them twice and left one VM in the past week; no response. Are they still in business? Are there any other choices for a "hidden hitch?" |

Correct, two Ls. Typo on my end.

Believe they've been out of business for a while. Also, simply screwing a hitch to the rear bumber is not such a good idea. Porsche used to offer factory fitted ones as optional equipment, you will find those in the original parts catalogs avail on Porsche Classic. Obviously NLA now, but I had one made up by a local shop in Woodside, Queens NY. Were are you located?

I know this is an old thread....but...I am looking for the hidden hitch system from Willwood, subsequently sold/transferred to "Sporttow" out of San Antonio TX.
Anyone know what happened to them next? Or have one sitting on a shelf somewhere? Thanks in advance! |

No idea, but I was looking for a solution to the same problem - I have a Targa, so I can't just get Thule or Yakima gutter-mount racks, and the OE accessory Targa racks are impossible to find and cost a fortune if one ever pops up - and I got a SeaSucker rack.

I've used a gutter rack for years with no issues, though i can understand if some people are hesitant.
