Is this original fuel hose?
'84 3.2L. I just ordered Paul Mason's engine bay fuel line kit from our host, which I'm excited to install. I have no record reflecting that these lines were ever replaced, and so it got me wondering whether the lines are original.
Does this look like the original fuel line? ![]() |

Original. The better one that looks like it's wrapped, which has less tendency to spring a leak like the smooth hoses do.

Thanks John. Guess it’s a good thing that I’m replacing them given that they are hitting the 40 year mark. Probably should have been done many years ago, but better late than never. PO had the engine out about 5 years ago to do the clutch - makes zero sense to me why he didn’t swap out the fuel lines as a “while you’re in there” job.

Installed the Mason lines, working great and seem really robust. I did it with the intake off, but had to adjust the T angle a little once intake was put back on.

I’m going to try it without removing the intake, but I recognize that it may be unavoidable.
