Modern Seats in a 1973 911.
I have a 1973 911 Hotrod that I drive solely in non competitive rallies (maybe 20,000 miles per year). My 30 year old Recaro seats have held up well over time, but my back is deteriorating and I want better seats. I would like to get the most modern, fully adjustable, heated, electric seats in the car. I am much more interested in a high quality seat than appearance. Does anyone have thoughts of what might be suitable--if I could I would pick the most modern Porsche seat that could be retrofitted into my car. Thanks!!

From an aesthetics standpoint they would look out of place in an early longhood. You can find modern seats with the amenities your looking for packaged in a retro look and you'll probably spend the same if not more on modern seats.
https://www.classiccarseats.com/ is a good source.

Seat comfort is a fairly individual thing, as everybody's body is different. It may be worth examining why you no longer feel as comfortable as you did in your Recaro, and whether rebuilding or modifying them (e.g. new webbing on the cushion, adding lumbar support, etc.) may address your problem. If not, then you may be best off either trying various modern seats or thinking about what you've already been in that you find comfortable and then looking into how to adapt those to your 911. The typical cushion height of modern seats may prove a challenge.
