1973 2.4t
Hi,
I have a 73T that I use regularly, it's time for a new battery. A previous owner changed the set up for a single battery in the front hatch. Does anyone have any suggestions for a single 12v battery to use? Currently using a 12V 74Ah 680CCA, not really sure if this is an acceptable spec. Many thanks Mark |

I use an Optima red top on its side. There are tons of threads on this topic. Use the search function here to find them.

I also have a 1973.5T. I use a Group 70 AGM from NAPA in the RIGHT battery box only (it just barely fits). I figure putting it on the right side helps balance the weight of my ass in the drivers seat, and also gets it away from the fuse panels. It's a GM style side-post battery, so I use the screw-in adapters to fit the standard clamps in the 911. No problem at all cranking the engine. 5-1/2 years on it so far.
