Momo wheel
Thinking about swapping out my factory wheel on my 85 for a Prototipo. Any bushings, horn contacts, etc. that are cheap “while I’m in there” suggested fixes?

Steering column bushing can be replaced. As they get old, can cause some play in the steering wheel.

I have a MOMO wheel that I'm about to list for sale if you're interested.
It is a MOMO "Race" version though and not a Prototipo. It's black leather with a silver face. Very good condition. |

I just installed a Momo Race wheel on my '85, 40mm dish. Fits perfectly for my long arms. It's also a smaller diameter, I opted for that as I really like the smaller wheel on my daily driver ('14 Fiesta ST). If using the standard length hub adapter, you will need at least a 40mm dish. If you prefer less dish, opt for the longer hub adapter.
I had no issue with horn contacts, but if your turn signal/high beam switch is the least bit hinky, replace or refurbish that while you've got the wheel out.

Get the eccentric hub. I am a bit irritated by the central steering wheel blocking the view.
