Idle drops off and stalls
My 87 Carrera has developed a nasty habit of stalling when I take it out of gear when coming to a stop…it was originally having trouble keeping its idle when warm,so I replaced the Idle control valve and everything was fine for a few weeks, but now when I’m coming to a stop the revs drop almost to zero and sometimes stalls…what do I do now?

The closed throttle micro-switch may not be telling the computer that the throttle is closed and then the ICV doesn't function and control the idle speed. Do you hear it click when the throttle valve is slowly opened by hand? Test at the plug with an ohmmeter. Should see on/off basically, as you open and close.

Mine did this and was resolved after changing fuel filter.
