I won’t make it to Werks this year, the judges don’t like that I actually drive my car, but luckily the Quail has always been welcoming.

Will be there all week — camping over at Camp Overcrest in Carmel Valley and doing Sportscar Vacationland on Thurs, spectating Werks on Friday, and Laguna Seca on Saturday.

If you see a red SC with a ducktail & steelies, come say hi. And if you break down, DM me. Car came over from the east coast with a lot of my “rally spares” (relays, coil, hoses, etc).

Yooo! Headed out to hang with Matt and the Overcrest hooligans. We'll be the people that look out of place on a golf course lawn.

I've entered exactly one PCA judged event. When I told them the cigarette burn hole was period correct they put their clipboards down and walked away. Out of 100 points I don't think I cleared double digits

Such a tragedy that Werks and Quail conflict. Not the firstest of first world problems, but it's up there. I could rationalize the $1,000 Quail ticket easily enough, but $1,600 is a tougher sell. Gulp hard as you click the "complete purchase" button.

Werks judges were unenthused by the mods on my white 1987 last year. I am not bringing a car this year. Flying into MRY Thursday, out Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Funny how Werks Amelia was always billed as "not a q-tip show." I always liked that about it, and yet as the years have gone on it's move a little more in that direction. Anyone can throw enough money at a car (from the build to the pre-show cleaning, etc) and win. That's not the Porsche culture though historically. Oh well.

Clearly Werks Pebble Beach is a different beast. I hope everyone enjoys their time! I cannot wait to see the pictures.

I considered putting mine in the judged field... I wouldn't win anything - I know a few of the cars in the class and no way mine wins out.. but it would be fun, and you get really good parking

I decided to just park in the corral again this year - just planning on getting there earlier - got stuck in a lot of traffic last year.

Wish they had announced earlier before my friend locked down an Airbnb in Carmel. I’ll be the only guy on Ocean Ave with FOMO for campfires and the smell of leaky injectors in the morning.

My twin brother and I are are going to be there Friday; we are not taking one of our cars as I missed the entry because it was already sold out- my bad. Our good friend Greg has his '74 Carrera clone being judged. Look for the school bus yellow Carrera with the beautiful interior.

No booth car, I drive the van with the family and we have a booth at Legends on Thursday too.

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. We have had my car there twice and will likely have it there next year. This year we are 100% spectators.

We’ll be at the campsite right above Turn 5. Come by for one of the best places to catch cars coming up the straight, around the Turns 2, 3, 4, down the straight before turn 5 then up the hill towards the Corkscrew.

We’ll also be all driving one of the hospitality carts @ Werks.
