1979 911 SC - timing chains

I have my 911 SC in pieces changing valve guides and piston rings.

Should I change the timing chains? The mileage on the chains is uncertain, but they look to be in good shape. Also, what is the opinion on using the ones for sale on Pelican with the the master link?

Many thanks.

you left out how many miles are on your motor.

There is 130K on the engine, but no history a if the timing chains have been replaced during that mileage

Change them.

Look at changing sprockets too - they may be worn.

I would also consider adding Carrera chain tensioners, if it doesn't already have them.

How much of an issue would it be if I did not change the sprockets on the IMS, and just did the ones up top?
