Muffler/Exhaust Sound Feedback Needed
Hello...I have a 1980 911 SC with the 3.0 engine. I currently ahve a stock muffler. I'm trying to see about creating a little more throatier, performance sound without making it too much louder. Any feedback on the ANSA sport muffler, Bursch replacement muffler, or other ideas? Thanks.

What about a Dansk muffler? The ones I've heard all sounded good.

If you want the best sound - the general belief is that (believe it or not) a Flowmaster is the way to go.
Im a Fabspeed exhaust fan - very "raspy" Porsche sound - sounds like it should in my head. I hear B&B suffers from alot of resonance.

I just changed to a Bursch (single in single out) that I picked up at the Hershey Swap Meet. It sort of sounds like a mustang at 3000 rpm when you are accelerating or crusing. You know, that deep throaty sound. Before and after 3000 rpms, it loses the noise. I think the reason for the sound is because I knocked out the guts of the Cat which with the stock muffler had a nice sound at idle.
