That car looks like poopie. If you want a super solid project car with a strong 3.0 sc engine, smooth as butter shifting 915 5g in top of the line parts to go with it, a super rare set of 7x15 and 8x15 fuchs.. perfect glass perfect dash, perfect chrome, I have a one I have lost interest in. 77 two owner coupe that I have been hanging on to. Never in a fender bender, NO rust. Perfect candidate for back date or IROC clone, high quality RS bumper and ducktail included. Tons of pic if your really interested in a solid project.25k and that a bargain for what your going to get. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1685399621.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1685399721.jpg |

Anyway, in about a year there's going to be a parts car for sale with just stacks of new parts that come with it. Most of them still in boxes. The seller will want $23k for the lot. |

You might be right but then again you might be wrong. The poster asked for advice and received a spectrum of advice. Who knows the poster may be financially capable of purchasing an abused 911 and have the desire to spend the time and money to bring the car back from the abyss. Not all Porsche owners want a pristine driver. many forum members want the basket case just for the challenge of doing the restoration. I wish the poster the best of luck and I hope he does restore the car to drivability and has many years of driving pleasure. |

That looks like a $5k car in my eyes. |

Thank you all for the feedback and advice! I walked away from the car. It was sold to a gentleman in Poland. |

Interior, did I mention the excellent sport seats, and drivetrain alone puts this way over the valuations above. So ... does it run and drive as you stated originally or does it not ?!? |

There are a dozen reasons not to buy that car, but one of them is the old trope that you're buying the seller as much as the car. I have no doubts that this seller doesn't have anything worth buying. At this point I myself assume there are no bargains left, and not many who don't think BaT prices apply to every 911 and lift their prices accordingly. It's like the stock market: the pros have already decided what's worth buying. Maybe they can be flipped in Poland, best of luck to him. |
