VW385/1 trans tool parts
Need the plastic cam for the mandrel bar for VW385. I know people have tried to replicate it in plastic or metal. 3D print or whatever. Any help. Gordon

An old thread but this inspired me to have some of these 385/1-3 plastic cams made out of aluminum. I have more if needed. Please send me a PM.

Are these plastic bits really unavailable from the manufacturer? That seems wasteful, considering the cost of the tool as a whole and the perishable nature of the plastic cams.

You may be able to buy it from Pensler in Germany but from what I have seen it is a bit of an ordeal for those that have tried, if they are in stock. Then you still end up with a plastic cam that will break eventually. Below is the link to Snap On that distributed the tool here in the US.

Peiseler withdrew from the auto repair tool market several years ago and no longer supply repair parts for the tools they made earlier. They are still in business and offer tools for CDC machining.
