Throttle control 1973 911 MFI
Car sat for 1 year, when started up using throttle control the RPM’S go up as the engine warms up, however after the engine is warm and when closing throttle the RPM’S drops to zero and engine stalls. Also when starting cold using throttle and running at about 1200 on tack the engine RPM’S will climb to 2000 even when warm.

Uncertifiable!!!

Empty and refill gas tank, change the oil, warm it up and then go for an Italian Tune-up and get the cobwebs out of it.
My suggestion. Johan

It you have points. Replace with a pointless alternative. Will solve many issues and never have to adjust again.
Pull the throttles all the way up when starting and warming up. Push them all the way down when it will idle that way. If it wont idle and everything else is good you can adjust the idle at the stacks. There is a screw on each of them that allow air in. should get a synchronizer to make sure they are all equal.
