Well I shipped off a 1965 to buyer in Germany today...
Just shipped my 1965 911 to the transport company, and it's gonna be on a boat to Germany this Friday to a new buyer. Car is definately a 'project', and I finally came to the conclusion that I lack both financial recourses and time to put it together correctly. Funny thing is, I thought it was weird that a German buyer, needed to buy a car from the states, but evidentally he informed me that all the unrestored cars in Germany were severely rusted out by the harsh German weather. Anyone else ever heard about German buyers shipping cars from the states?

i know that west coast car are popular as resto projects, i am restoring a 70 from New England and if i could go back i would buy a car from the west coast. On a related topic i am picking up my 55 land rover on wednesday, trans Atlantic shipping is so slow. The best rates i found by far was HUAL, 700$.

The Dutchies buy a lot of VWs from the states and a few Karmann Ghias too (cheeky buggers) as the $$$ price is realitively low and no rust.
