SWB vs LWB tail lights
I've searched this topic in the past but have never really found whether or not a 69+ tail light assembly will fit into an early SWB car? I realize there are differences between the two, but without physically having both of them in hand, all I can do is compare images online. It looks like the mounting holes on the end of the tail light are in approximately the same position, but I don't know if both lights are the same size overall. Anyone have any insight?

They are different. Won’t work without grinding out a section of the metal tailight housing on the rear quarter. Much better just to buy swb lights. Same on the front fender.
