Reachable locations for brake light black/yellow wire

After 40 years of no issues (1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Coupe) I had new brakes and master cylinder installed. Soon afterwards I was on a PCA adventure and smoke began to rise from under the dash or transmission tunnel and the brake lights stopped function. No other lights or functions have been affected, so probably pulling the wire back and forth when attaching to the master cylinders brake switches. The simple repair would be to go past the burn area and splice in a new Black/Yellow wire which is on its way.

Where are the access points under the transmission tunnel or anywhere that I can find the wiring loom and splice in?
