fuel line adapters and fittings

OMG I've spent way too long searching for the answer to this

I need some fittings to hook up my fuel lines and fuel accumulator for pressure testing...

I'm looking for an adapter that will allow me to connect the fuel line that connects to the fuel accumulator to my gauge.

Specifically I need an M14x1.5 inverted flare male adapter to the fuel line that can be converted to the M10x1 male end on my gauge.

I don't care how many bits and pieces I have to use as long as it works for pressure testing. It can be 45 fittings for all I care.

My kingdom for an adapter!

Julian,

I don’t know what CIS fuel pressure gauge kit you got but typically they have 12-mm x 1.5 pitch. I have 5 S&G CIS gauges and they all have 12-mm x 1.5. So to connect my gauges, I simply use an adaptor with 12-mm x 1.5 and 14-mm x 1.5 (for FA side).

I have an S&G too just no M14x-.5 adapter.

I wasted 2 hours online searching and ended up finding a combination of fittings at belmetric and fittings.space that will work. Another $75 contribution to the P Car gods…

Now I can hopefully get to the bottom of this fuel system.

I. Will. Defeat. This. Problem.

Julian,

What fittings did you buy to accumulate $75? All you need is this fitting from Belmetric VC12x1.5/14x1.5 for $9.89 each.

The 12-mm will fit to the CIS pressure gauge and the 14-mm end to the fitting you disconnected from the fuel accumulator. Keep us posted.

Hi Tony,

Yup I got two of those and a whole bunch of other ones- I figure better to have them if I need them and save on shipping and time delay.

There’s nothing worse than having to make a second order because you forgot something!! Ask me how I know

As an alternative, buy two fittings that each have one end in the form you need, cut them in half and weld (braze) the two correct halves together. A decent hose shop can do this for you if you lack the necessary equipment.

Harry,

Why would you buy 2 fittings, cut them, weld them, and have a hose shop do some work on it? The correct fitting is available for less than $10. Why go through all these troubles. It does not make sense plus it would be more time consuming and expensive. I am not saying you are wrong, just surprised this suggestion came from you.

If you can get the correct fitting, I totally agree. However, if you can’t due to availability or time constraints, the buy 2 and make 1 plan gets you there more quickly.

FWIW, I have needed to go both ways depending on my circumstances at the time.

SoCal folks:
Torino Motorsports in Orange CA. built me an in-line fuel pressure gauge for my 3.6L.

Because the factory set fuel pressure regulators are NLA, the aftermarket adjustable ones are the only option now.
Because I track my car, they also provided me all the metric fuel line and fittings needed to convert to AN fittings with braided S.S. tunnel fuel lines.

I can help with anything related to Metric Fuel or Oil Hose or Line.

I have my "Direct Connect" fittings for AN that crimp directly to my E-85 Rated Metric Hose, and eliminates the need for additional adapters.

For adapters, here is an example of what I offer:

And when we cannot buy them out of Germany or anywhere else, we make them....

For info, please email me: len.cummings at verizon.net

Thanks for looking.
