ECU Repair

Seeing that my ECU in my 88' is 30+ years old. I think I will send it in for a check up.
I'm going to send it to specialized ECU for the work. Unless someone has a better option.
Does anyone know if I must remove the seat to remove the unit? Seat back and all the way up looks like it may work, but!!!!
