Leaky acres.....

So I do know how to use the search function, in my search I didn't find a thread on the subject of ALL of the different types of oil leaks and their solutions.
The way I'm seeing this is there are 2 categories of leaks
1. Those not requiring overhaul or removal.
2. Those repairable with the power plant in the car.

I'd really like to read your input about your experiences and the fixes. Some points in particular

Rocker sealing issues
Rocker cover issues
Hard oil line
Banjo fittings

Anything else you can think of and pictures would be very much appreciated.

Use Google as a search engine.

So your saying the advanced search function here doesn't function?
Actually I was just wondering how this subject is not a sticky.

Unfortunately, the in-house search often dismisses key contextual words because they are too common, resulting in too many, not entirely useful page hits

Google the search phase like this

911 Oil leaks "site:forums.pelicanparts.com"
or " site:www.pelicanparts.com"

I think a more advanced search tool, like ELK, would only be purchased for the other side of the house...the parts business.

Yes the search engine here is garbage, same with catalog. I don’t know how many times someone has posted they can’t find a part in the catalog and someone has to point them in the right direction.
This should answer most of your question. Technical article right in catalog

Where does the typical rocker shaft leakage manifest itself? I would have thought that would have been caught by the valve covers....

You would see the oil leaking out from the area between the heads and the cam housing. The ends of the rockers are covered by the valve cover, but still exposed to air from behind. (this is why you will see dust on these sections of your valve covers when you remove them)
