Fuel accumulator question
May be a daft one,
Do all cars have the fuel accumulator? My project is getting closer to assembly and I am studying the parts microfiche double checking everything and have come across the fuel accumulator. My car had the fuel filter, but no accumulator or lines associated with it. Car is an 87 Carrera that will need to pass CA smog, car was originally in Illinois then Nebraska. Thanks, Ian |

I think that’s a CIS only part, so it wouldn’t be on your 3.2.

The accumulator that is in line with, and next to the filter is only on the CIS cars.
Find the PET / Porsche classic catalog for 1987. The first page with a fuel filter showed a filter only on a 3.2 DME car. 145 of 664 A few pages further on you’ll see the fuel filter and accumulator for the CIS Turbo engines. (Pg147) Sent from a device using an app. |
