Frunk Hood Hinge Question
Have installed a locking hood strut on the left side of the hood. I think my local shop tried to close the hood without releasing the strut lock. Appears to have bent the hinge. Can the hinge be adjusted, assuming the bend is not too bad, or is a new hinge needed?

Figured the issue. Cautionary tale, I have the Rennliine locking strut on one side, left, and someone at the shop tried to force the hood closed that bent the hinge. Am sourcing another hinge from a fellow Pelican. is it easy enough to take the old hinge off with the strut in place and install the new one? Or does the hood need to be removed completely?

DO NOT remove a hinge with a gas charged strut in place. The strut will force the hinge into the cowel and bend your cowel. I don't know what strut you have but if it's gas charged don't loosen the hinge bolts. Hinge and hood alignment is done with the struts removed. The struts are the last step.
