Several questions
I have a 89 3.2 it has been lowered. I would like to raise it back to stock.
What are the stock heights at the fender lip? It is currently 24 inches. I think I will have to re index the rear bars? What is the degree angle for the stock height at the trailing arms? I would like to place the rear wheels in the front and install wider rear wheels. What are the replacement sizes for the rear? Tire size? |
Stock US height or stock Euro height? Not sure if that matters on 89's, but at least in the earlier cars the Euro was about a half inch lower than US.
Euro height on earlier cars is nominally 25.5" at the front fender lip, and 25 at the rear, measured on a FLAT level surface. Someone else will jump in with the Porsche spec for measuring the differences between heights of suspension parts and insist that's the only "right" way to do it, becuase the cars are hand-built and slightly different from each other, etc. But as a practical matter, you end up in the same place IF you are using stock-diameter tires. If you have different diameter tires, then add or subtract the difference in the radius to the fender height measurement. |
Not a fan of using the body as a measuring device.
Do it the factory way to Euro specs and scales to fine tune. |
