Engine compartment insulation and door weatherstripping
I'm hoping these are 2 easy things to do. I googled and you-tubed both items but kind of came up short. So, I wanted to ask here if anyone has any articles or videos on installing these 2 items. The engine compartment insulation is already missing on this car so I just need to install a new one. The weather stripping, I need to remove the old and install new.
Thanks in advance for any help... |

This thread covers the door weatherstrip and some rust issues I found. I used a lot of black silicone to seal the weatherstrips to the door jambs.

Engine compartment sound pad is easy on early cars , more difficult on newer cars as there is restricted access.
The weatherstripping is easy, remove the old, (take pictures). Clean the old glue off with 3m glue remover on a rag. Dry fit the new weatherstripping and brush glue one a section at a time. Let the glue set for a few minutes before pushing into place. I usually only apply the glue to the channel.
