What's that ?

Air flow switch / air sensor control
I think they're two names for the same thing, green connector behind the airbox

I'm starting to suspect I have a disconnected wire somewhere, like maybe a mouse gave something a chew. But if I have spark, shouldn't it fire? Especially when I sprayed fluid in the box?

I know the PO liked to hook up lots of auxiliary electronic stuff, I'm even wondering if there's some anti-theft circuit he installed.

Of course electrical stuff is my weak suit.

Thomas,

The injector does NOT spray when ignition is switched on;
I tested it by lifting the plate in the airbox and activating the injector pump with ignition switch in the on position.

Here's one example. I think I've seen it a number of times in this forum.

That's the same guy who posted this, referring to what's marked as the AFS in the picture as the ASC, very odd.

You could try to mimmick the function of the ASC by taking the plug off and wire a ground from plug to case. Ignition ON, pump shouldn't run, ground from ASC plug to case should prevent the pump from running? If it does, it means the ASC is not adjusted right to provide ground.

Good thing there's no confusion as to what's called the CSV !

Right? It took me a week to figure out what those two connectors do. As if these engines weren't complicated enough, all we need is two names for everything!
