Pics of my new turbo
well, new to me....
Here it is. 88 turbo 31K miles. Found it in Jacksonville, FL. This car is in GREAT shape, love the Cab here in FL. Was planning a trip to St. Louis to pick up a turbo coupe at Daniel Schmitt Autos. That deal dell through thankfully. The gray interior is a rare find, Im not one for the tan. I’ve been crusin’ all day. Now it’s pouring rain and she’s in the garage. We now have four 911’s, have to sell one, it’s looking like its going to be the 73 911T…. It’ s in awesome condition and never been screwed with, hard to find a car like that 30 years old…. I don’t want any of them to go, but ohh well, im fortunate for 1 much less 3…….

Wow! thats one mean looking car. Is it lowered or is the grass just deceiving me? What size are those BBS's? They look pretty good on your car! I love that color combo, I'm not much of a fan for the tan interior too.

My dream Porsche is a white 930 with those Fikse rims. Those flares are drop dead gorgeous. That's a beautiful car, and the grey interior looks really nice.

The deal at Schmitt fell through because of a oil leak. The oil lines were leaking at the thermostat. Not heavy, but the shop doing the inspection found some wetness. Which by the way, Reid Vann in St Louis did a GREAT job!!!!. I requested the oil lines along with a few other items to be repaired before I take delivery. Before traveling to St. Lui’ I spoke to the sales manager, he said they didn’t have enough room in the sale of the car to repair the oil lines. I said thanks, but no thanks. At that point they said….OK we’ll fix them. Typical car dealership move. Nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion. You always have to hassle with them. Weather it would have been a individual or a dealer, someone would have had to pay for the repair. They were all VERY nice to work with. I thought the price was fair.
A car is a car. I find it humorous that people say this dealership sells poor cars. The car doesn’t get poor after it arrives on the lot. It came that way. But, no dealer goes out looking for poor cars. They have a lot of very nice items. John, at Ried Vann was very straight forward about the car. He even spoke highly of one of the other turbo’s that’s for sale on eBay now. Would I buy from then in the future?? sure it’s not out of the question. Just have Reid Vann do the inspection. They work for you, not the dealer!! But for now…WOW what a blessing. I found this turbo cab in JAX, just 90 miles away. It’s awesome. Not a thing wrong. Passed inspection with flying colors. I love it!!! And the wife does too…which makes my life easier…We’re selling her 73 911T and she’ll now drive my 88 Carrera for weekend fun. She’s happy about that too, now that she can drive a car that’s easier to drive with A/C and a nice stereo…..i think that’s about it… Later R

I'm relieved to hear that you didn't have to deal with any shenanigans at Schmitt! Jolly nice car BTW :-)
Benny.
