Help where to connect the wires to the new Valeo internal regulator alternator

Help: where to connect the wires to the new Valeo internal regulator alternator?
I am installing the new internal regulator Valeo alternator, on my newly rebuilt 1974 2.7 L engine. I have copies of the 1974 technical service bulletin number one and two for the new alternator with the integrated regulator but all the wiring posts are in different positions on those photos. I have three wires that need to be connected and I’m not sure where to connect them except the red wire the B+ is marked on the new Valeo alternator. The blue wire is the D+, and the brown wire is the D-, so the brown wire must be the ground wire.
There are three other posts on the back of the alternator but I’m not sure which is the proper post for the wires and I know if you wire it wrong you can burn up the wiring and damage the alternator. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you Marion. Also I tried to download a photo of the backside of my alternator to show where the posts are but It did not work for me. Here is the Valeo part number for the alternator #101822

Alternator Wire Terminals…….

RED wire goes to B+. Usually labeled.

BLUE wire goes to D+. This terminal is NOT grounded to the alternator body.

BROWN wires go to D-. Locate the bolt that is grounded to the alternator housing.

Only one of the three (3) terminals is grounded to the body. B+ is always labeled so this is easy to identify. B+ has lower resistance value (Ohms) than D+ (Blue). Post a picture of the terminals. The Valeo type alternators for 911 usually have the “V” configuration. Where B+ bottom, D- upper left, and D+ at upper right. But confirm by testing for ground and resistance (Ohms). How this helps you.

Thanks Tony for the reply. Earlier I forgot to say that I don’t have any skill or knowledge in electrical wiring and I don’t understand or know how to check for the ground and or checking ohms. I also tried to post the photograph of the alternator and I didn’t do something right because that didn’t post. I think we still have a shop here in town that rebuilds alternators and starters and I’m going go to go there and see if he can check it for ground, and ohms on those terminals to see if those are the ones at work thank you.

Just take the rebuilt alternator to your local starter/alternator shop or auto shop/store and let them identify the terminals for you. They will probably do it for FREE.
