Tod repairs
Hi
I've been working on the 1981 911sc euro oil warning light switch to replace because of leaking. I did a partial engine drop but I can't feel the switch after lowering 2-3 inches Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks Barry Last edited by Bass911sc; 08-26-2023 at 08:41 AM.. |

John is referring to the rubber boot on the top of the CIS. Remove it and you can get to the switch. Sometimes those large hose clamps on the boot rotate and are hard to get to. Just do what you have to to get it off. If it's old, you might be able to pull up and get it off. If it's the original boot, it probably has cracks and should be replaced anyway. Pelican sells them for about $110.

If the clamps rotated then they weren’t tight to begin with or loosen over time, they just might pry up. Here’s a good link
Edut: the link doesn’t load. Look up Joe-engineer’s site. https://******************/diy-how-to-replace-the-cis-intake-boot-on-a-classic-air-cooled-porsche-911/ |
