Hockey Puck Horn Button Crest Alignment

I installed a new deep dish RS-style steering wheel and I love it, but for one thing. It has the hockey puck horn button with the Porsche crest embossed into it. That crest is just a tad off axis. Call it OCD, but I’m wondering if there’s any way to take the puck apart and realign the pad?

Yes you can

Often, if you simply apply pressure with the palm of your hand, you can twist the leather without disassembling the horn button.

Obviously, there are many varieties to way these modern repro hockey pucks are made, but often the chrome ring is bent over to hold the leather and foam in place. Typically you can simply straighten the tabs and everything comes apart.

Or remove and ovalize the holes in the piece that holds the puck to the wheel.

This.

I was able to move mine a bit by just applying pressure with my palm and the crest straightened out.
