Will Not Start Porsche 1981 911 SC
Will not start cold unless I manually lift the air sensor plate. Then it runs for a couple of seconds and stops.

your problem could be..bad grounded safety plug behind the sensor plate body...If you can managed to reach with your left hand and disconnect it..the fuel pump will run from that point any time you put the key on to 2nd position prior starting...no problem there thou..
The safety plug is there in case you turn the car on roof the fuel will be cut ...the black arrow..

I can reach back there but feel two wires with a plug on the end. No luck disconnecting them. I have cleaning all the grounds. The last one now is the one on the transmission.
