1971 Porsche 911 wire in engine compartment

Hope someone could help. On the drivers side coming through the fire wall is a red wire with a white stripe chaser. I can’t figure out where it goes. Attached is a photo
Any help would be appreciated

Brown would be a ground wire. Grounding stud is forward of the CDI box on body. Does the car run well and everything works? If so don't worry about it. If it ain't broke don't fix it
