1970 911e fuel filter mount install

Hey, I’m redoing my engine Bay Area on my 1970 e and found that the fuel filter assembly looks to be installed incorrectly. I found the rubber isolators installed in the wheel well area not under the mounting plate for the assembly.

Can someone confirm that this is incorrect, maybe send a picture of the correct install.

Thank,
Chris

Possible that the rubber bumpers were there for the original mounting bracket for the fuel pump ?
(in the wheel well)

Parts manual shows it as just the filter assembly and shows the isolators but doesn’t show exact orientation….

For an original MFI Filter, there are flat washers and rubbers on both the inside of the fender well AND the inside of the engine bay.

They are supposed to isolate the Heavy Filter unit.
