wiring/cruise help needed
Was troubleshooting the cruise today. There was no ground connection at terminal 4 of the connector. I popped the back off the connector to find the terminal and s**&^!!!! None of the terminals are captive, and they're all out. Can someone with a Bentley or a good wiring diagram or accessible connector please tell me which wire is inserted into which # on the cruise connector?
A sheepish thanks in advance.

Think I got it, by using the troubleshooting protocol. What I have is:
white-3 dbl brown-4 double black -5 black/yellow-6 grey-7 brown-8 yellow-9 blue-10 black/brown-11 empty-12 The only thing I'm unsure of is 5 and 12-the double black lead is constant 12v, and I'm not sure of where it goes. Given the wire length, I assume 5. Can anyone confirm?

This is what I can see from the 1981 cruise control schematic from the service manual.
Pin 5 is BK- Black and connects to terminal 86 on relay and fuse 15 and (+) termianl on cruise control switch Pin 6 is BK/YE- Black/Yellow and connects to brake light switch. Pin 7 is GR/BR- Gray/Brown and connects to Tempostat motor. Pin 8 is BR - Brown and connects to (off) on cruise control switch. Pin 9 is YE - Yellow and connects to (set) on the cruise control switch. Pin 10 is BL - Blue and connects to (reset) on cruise control switch. Pin 11 is BK/BR - Black/Brown and connects to speedometer (A). Pin 12 is BR - Brown and connects to speedometer (-) and clutch pedal switch. Hope this helps.

Targa 80-thanks, but it changed, apparently, with the introduction of DME. Mine is an 85, diff coding. But thanks anyway.
