Stock 911SC Exhaust System Stainless???

I have my stock exhaust system at a Electro Polisher. He is a bit weary to process because he is not 100% confident that the system stainless.

Heat Exchangers
Cross-Over Pipe
Muffler

I am 99.1% sure it’s stainless. There has never been rust that I can see. I glass beaded several parts and they have been out in the weather, power washed, ect.

Can anyone confirm that they are stainless steel?

Porsche called the later exhaust systems, corosion resistant steel. I suspect they added NI to improve corosion resistance and they perform much better than the early mild steel systems. They are not stainless steel. Rob

I think they called it "Aluminized Steel" back then. I don't really know what that process does, but the result looks like hot-dipped aluminum coating. Similar to galvanizing in a zinc bath, but using aluminum. Hopefully, someone with better technical knowledge will chime in.
